For over ten years DockDogs has been making a splash in the canine world.  
A splash that over time has evolved into a tsunami. The inception of 1000 Islands 
DockDogs in 2009 is yet another example of the extent to which this unique and 
exciting sport continues to spread around the world. DockDogs is an action-packed 
canine sport, open to dogs of all breeds/people of all ages. Requirements for 
participation are minimal: participating dogs must love being in the water. Simple 
enough?   Add your dog's favourite floatable toy, a 4-foot leash, and the handler's 
desire to have fun with their dog, and you're ready for an intense splashdown and 
lots of fun. The rules are very simple, which makes this sport ideal for children, 
beginners and seasoned competitors alike.  No matter how far your dog jumps, 
one foot or 25 feet, you will always be surrounded with encouraging words and 
smiling faces.

We encourage friendly, sportsmanlike behaviour at all 1000 Islands DockDogs events and will 
provide honesty and professionalism at every event.  We will treat every person and dog with 
respect, ensuring our desire to have a successful, fun, DockDogs club.  We will provide sponsors
and audiences with great fun while encouraging and assisting all interested people and dogs to 
get involved with the sport, as well as becoming an active club member.  Members are not 
obligated but certainly welcome to volunteer time, skills or services  to promote 1000 Islands 
DockDogs in a positive and professional way.
